Onboarding Manager

The Onboarding Manager is responsible for organizing and supporting the process of onboarding counterparties and financial institutions. The main objective of the role is to ensure a timely, regulatorily compliant, and operationally secure launch of trading activities.

Responsibilities:

Onboarding of Financial Institutions

  • Collecting and analyzing information on beneficial owners, documentation, and the corporate structure of financial institutions (first line of defense when establishing business relationships).

  • Negotiating commercial terms of cooperation and organizing the signing of agreements.

  • Coordinating the opening of trading and settlement accounts.

  • Monitoring onboarding stages and timelines in accordance with established SLAs.


Risk Control for Active Accounts

  • Verifying the adequacy of trading limits.

  • Identifying risks affecting operations with financial institutions and minimizing their potential impact.

  • Monitoring sources of clients’ funds and funding procedures.

  • Preparing and providing documentation for account verification, fund transfers, and requests from financial institutions.

  • Participating in the reduction of operational and regulatory risks during both the launch phase and ongoing operations.


Documentation and Reporting

  • Controlling the execution and signing of agreements and appendices with counterparties.

  • Maintaining and updating counterparty data in internal company systems and creating an electronic document archive.

  • Preparing onboarding status reports.


Onboarding Process Optimization

  • Analyzing problematic cases and delays.

  • Optimizing internal procedures and onboarding scenarios.

  • Participating in the automation of document flow and onboarding processes.


Process Management and Communication

  • Conducting business correspondence and verbal communication with counterparties in Russian and English.

  • Active follow-up on all matters: regular reminders, follow-ups, calls, and escalations when necessary.

  • Identifying and applying effective working approaches with counterparties in cases of weak, delayed, or non-constructive feedback.

  • Ability to find and propose solutions in non-standard situations rather than limiting actions to documenting blocking factors.

  • Maintaining complete and structured documentation of all onboarding stages.


Stakeholder Interaction

The Onboarding Manager works closely with internal departments such as Sales, Trading, Compliance, Finance, and IT, as well as with external financial institutions and counterparties.

Requirements:

  • Experience in onboarding, operations, compliance, banking operations, or a related role.

  • Understanding of onboarding processes for financial institutions and counterparties.

  • Experience working with documentation, corporate structures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • English level: Intermediate or higher (written communication is essential).

  • Russian language proficiency.

  • Proactive mindset and ability to work independently.

  • Experience in fintech, payments, trading, or financial services is a strong advantage.

  • Legal or compliance background is a plus.
