We are Headshot Recruitment Agency, and our client — a fast-growing iGaming product company operating in over 30 countries — is looking for a Middle Data Engineer to join their data analytics team in Cyprus. The company develops advanced casino and sports betting platforms and is now scaling its core analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Design and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions
Build ETL pipelines integrating multiple data sources
Optimize database performance and ensure data quality
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product teams
Apply best practices for data modeling and governance
Troubleshoot ETL/database issues, ensure system reliability
Monitor data security and compliance standards

Requirements:

2+ years in a Data Engineering role, preferably in iGaming
Excellent SQL (optimization, complex queries, indexing)
Experience with Python and Apache Airflow
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts & architecture
Solid experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, CTE
Understanding of data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
Familiarity with ClickHouse, Kafka, cloud DWHs (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake)
Comfortable working with GIT and Agile environments
English – work level; Russian-speaking team

Nice to have:

Bash scripting, Pyspark
Previous experience with gambling or betting products
Understanding of real-time pipelines, high-load systems
