We are Headshot Recruitment Agency, and our client — a high-growth international fintech company — is seeking a Legal Counsel to support legal operations across multiple jurisdictions. The company manages complex corporate structures and financial operations in the UK, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, and beyond.

This is a strategic hire to strengthen in-house legal capabilities as the business scales and enters new regulated markets. The role offers full immersion in cross-border corporate structuring, legal compliance, and banking support.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily legal support for company formations and maintenance across jurisdictions (Estonia, UK, Cyprus, Poland, Latvia, etc.)
Manage bank account openings, documentation, and compliance requests
Draft, review, and organize legal/corporate documents: resolutions, PoAs, shareholder agreements, filings, etc.
Maintain legal registers, corporate records, and internal workflows
Coordinate with external legal partners, accountants, auditors, and regulators
Collaborate with Business Development, Finance, AML/Compliance, and Ops teams
Conduct legal research on corporate/regulatory frameworks in target jurisdictions
Support licensing and financial structuring initiatives

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in legal, compliance, or project management (ideally in fintech or multinational companies)
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, or Business Management
Proficiency in English (B2+) and Russian (verbal and written)
Understanding of AML/KYC regulations, banking onboarding, and corporate governance
Strong attention to detail, document handling accuracy, and confidentiality awareness
Skilled in communication with cross-functional and external teams
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in international tax structuring or corporate optimization
Previous work in fintech, legal advisory, or multinational group environments
Familiarity with legal software, digital registers, and documentation platforms
