Legal (Compliance officer) – iGaming (US Market | Remote)

We are Headshot Recruitment Agency, and our client — a fast-growing company in the iGaming industry — is currently seeking a Compliance Officer to ensure all operations meet applicable laws, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions. The immediate focus is on the U.S. market and establishing a scalable compliance framework for sweepstakes-based casino operations.

This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity for someone with strong regulatory instincts, excellent documentation skills, and a passion for building processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with U.S. iGaming regulations and multi-jurisdictional standards
Review, adapt, and enhance existing documentation for regulatory use
Identify compliance gaps and recommend additional documents needed for market entry
Design and implement a robust compliance framework tailored to sweepstakes casino operations
Define transaction limits and operational restrictions per legal requirements
Set up alerting systems for user behavior and transactional thresholds
Document business risks and propose risk mitigation recommendations
Manage compliance operations during the initial testing period, ensuring operational readiness for scale
Monitor changes in gambling and financial compliance laws
Interact with regulators and prepare required documentation
Participate in internal audits and partner contract reviews
Maintain policies and procedures related to AML, KYC, GDPR, responsible gaming, and advertising

Requirements:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Master’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field
1–2 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, ideally in iGaming or FinTech
In-depth understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks (essential)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
English level: Upper Intermediate (B2+) or higher
Experience managing multiple regulated jurisdictions simultaneously
Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, CAMS) are a plus
