Head of P2P Processing

A payments startup backed by a large holding. We’re launching a P2P processing function from the ground up inside an established structure — with the resources, technical team, and real volume to build around.

The role

We’re looking for someone to autonomously build the entire P2P processing operation from scratch. This is a builder’s role, not a maintenance one: you own the system end to end and make sure it runs.

Responsibilities:

Recruit traders and build trader teams
Source and manage payment requisites, keeping enough working capacity to sustain the required volume
Set up and run internal operations, support, and anti-fraud
Own the product side — define and prioritize tasks for the in-house development team
Bring all the moving parts into a single working process and launch it

Focus markets
The core challenge — and the main value — of this role is standing up processing in geos where ready-made payment rails simply don’t exist and can’t be sourced off the shelf: Asia, LATAM, and MENA, with priority on Ethiopia, Senegal, Algeria, and Tunisia.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience in P2P processing / payments — e.g. as a former P2P trader, or building and running trader teams
A track record of building operations from zero, not just maintaining what’s already in place
Strong ownership and autonomy — able to run the function without day-to-day oversight
Experience with support and anti-fraud inside P2P networks
A product mindset: comfortable setting and prioritizing tasks for a dev team
A plus: entrepreneurial or co-founder background in payments
