Head of Cards / Head of Issuing
A fintech project building its own payment infrastructure.
The team is currently transitioning from working with partners to launching an in-house card product direction.
We are looking for a strong Head of Cards / Head of Issuing to lead the launch of a card program from scratch and build the entire product infrastructure.
This is a high-impact role with full ownership — from strategy definition to execution and scaling.
Responsibilities:
— Define the card product launch strategy together with the business
— Design the architecture of card issuing / prepaid programs (Visa / Mastercard)
— Identify and establish partnerships with key providers:
• issuing bank / BIN sponsor
• card processors
• payment schemes
— Lead partner integration and bring the product to launch
— Build operational processes
— Hire and scale the team over time
Requirements:
— Proven experience launching card issuing / prepaid programs from scratch
— Strong understanding of card infrastructure (BIN sponsorship, processing, Visa / Mastercard)
— General understanding of regulatory and licensing requirements (including working via issuing bank / BIN sponsor)
— Experience in fintech / payments / neobanking
— Strong network and understanding of key partners is a plus
— Strategic mindset with the ability to build processes independently
— Experience with B2B card products
— Experience launching prepaid / low-KYC solutions
— Experience in international projects
