We are Headshot, a recruitment agency partnering with fast-growing tech startups across high-risk and innovative industries.
Our client is an AI-driven product company working at the intersection of generative media, chat systems, and adult content. They’re building emotionally intelligent and visually rich platforms — and quality is a core team value, not just a QA responsibility.

As they scale, they’re looking for a QA Engineer with both manual and JS automation skills to help define and enforce the quality strategy from within the core product team.

Responsibilities:

Design, write, and maintain manual and automated test cases
Identify, report, and verify bugs and inconsistencies
Collaborate with developers and PMs during active feature development
Improve test coverage, documentation, and process transparency
Help build a scalable and reliable QA pipeline
Participate in hybrid Agile/Kanban sprint discussions and retros

Challenging Tasks You’ll Tackle:

Testing AI-driven logic with evolving edge cases
Ensuring reliability of multimedia and content generation features
Designing robust automated regression suites
Participating in early planning to flag potential testing risks
Promoting a strong SRE and reliability culture
Contributing to a team where quality is everyone’s responsibility

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in QA engineering
Solid understanding of manual testing practices and bug reporting
Experience writing clear test cases and test plans
Experience or interest in JavaScript/TypeScript
Familiarity with Playwright or similar frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Puppeteer)
Good product thinking and exploratory testing mindset
Strong documentation and async communication habits

Previous work on AI, chatbot systems, or media processing pipelines
Experience testing payment systems, chat platforms, or UGC features
Understanding of REST APIs, DevTools, or basic Bash scripting
