We are Headshot Recruitment Agency, and our client — a rapidly scaling international payment service provider — is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and professionalize its financial operations in Cyprus and across other key jurisdictions.

The company operates in multiple international markets, including the EU and Ukraine, and offers tailored payment infrastructure and services to high-risk industries. With global growth in motion, this role is critical to ensuring financial transparency, operational efficiency, and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities:

Lead and grow the finance, reporting, and liquidity teams
Oversee cash flow operations, including inter-account settlements with partners and clients
Ensure regulatory compliance across financial operations and jurisdictions
Manage relationships with banks, PSPs, brokers, and crypto exchanges
Monitor and mitigate financial risks: credit, currency, and liquidity
Supervise trading operations in the Forex and crypto markets
Control payment provider and client outstanding balances
Implement international and local accounting standards
Manage the audit process and oversee selection of external auditors
Set up management accounting, budgeting, and cost-control systems
Deliver reporting on service profitability and cost structures
Analyze and assess investment projects from financial and strategic standpoints

Requirements:

5+ years of CFO experience in Fintech, Payments, Forex, or Banking
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Banking
International qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or CMA preferred
In-depth knowledge of financial and tax reporting, management accounting, and audit procedures
Hands-on experience with Forex and crypto trading operations
Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks for PSPs
Proficiency in accounting system implementation and automation
Strong leadership and people management skills
High-level analytical and strategic decision-making capability
Languages: Fluent English and Russian (Greek or Spanish is a plus)

Nice to Have

Experience scaling finance teams in fast-growth environments
Background in financial licensing and international tax planning
Familiarity with financial crime prevention, AML reporting, or treasury functions
